Hey RHP kids! I'm Becca Dorman, from Carlsbad, CA.
I'm not really sure what to say, but I think that this blogger deal is a really good idea, Elliot!

*edit* so now I've thought of a few things. I'm going to Orientation June 30th-July 1st. Anyone else?
And a random conversation starter: what is your favorite quote?

I'm going to the first orientation - I think it's June 15-16.
There are a lot of quotes I like, but one of the ones I really like is the one I wrote in my autobiography profile:
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
Jim Elliot
Stand firm for what you believe in, until and unless experience proves you wrong. Remember, when the emperor looks naked, the emperor is naked. The truth and a lie are not sort of the same thing. And there is no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can't be improved with pizza.-Daria
I'm going to the last session, July 18-19...boo.
My favorite quote is the same as Elliot's, surprisingly. I'm not really great at remembering quotes, but that one sticks out all the time.
I'm also going to the first orientation so I'll see you there Elliot!
My favorite quote is one I read on a grave once, it said
"It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice."
i'm going july 11/12
favorite quote... hmmm
hmm this one is difficult...
every cloud has a silver lining? cliche, but true
or maybe... actually this is it
Luke 6:32-35
"For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit (is) that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, and get back the same amount.
But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. "
I don't know who that Derek person is, so I removed his comment and the comments that referred to it (since they don't make sense without it).
Do you think it makes sense for this to be a public blog?
well, wasn't it made so we could all post on here once we're up at school and parents could see it? or something like that? if that's the case, then I suppose it makes sense for it to be public.
Public in that it can be featured on blogger.com, weblogs.com, etc.
Yes, we'll make it public, and as such, we may get visitors such as "Derek". Just ignore them :)
I guess I'll take up on the favorite qutoe again...
"Life is about the journey, not the destination."
seems to hold true for me...
